The Rotary European Action Summit 2026 has come to an end and what an inspiring and memorable gathering it has been.

As Rotary International Director and Convenor of the Rotary European Action Summit 2026, I look back on these days in Rotterdam with great gratitude and pride. 

Together with Co-Conveners RID Massimo Ballotta and Emmanuel Katongole, and Past Trustee of The Rotary Foundation Geeta Manek, we had the privilege of welcoming Rotarians, Rotaractors, partners, speakers and changemakers from across Europe and beyond.

We were especially honoured to have Rotary International President Olayinka “Yinka” Babalola with us throughout the Summit, sharing his inspiration, energy and personal commitment with all of us.

My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who brought this Summit to life — our inspiring speakers, the engagement and contributions of our participants, our moderators, partners, sponsors, Friends of the Summit and the many volunteers who gave their time, creativity and energy. It was the conversations, the new connections and the shared commitment to act that made these days so special.

Our theme, TO BELONG – The Power of Connection and Action, truly came to life in Rotterdam.

The Summit may be over, but what we started in Rotterdam continues.

At the end of the Summit, I challenged each of us to define one personal action and take it forward.

What will you do?

What will you do personally?
What will you do in your Rotary or Rotaract club?
What will you do in your community, your profession or together with others?

Take the inspiration, ideas and connections from Rotterdam and turn them into action.
