Scientist, educator, expert public speaker, and peacebuilder, Dr Maria Vittoria Gargiulo thrives where research meets service. With a Doctor Europaeus in Physics, she has worked on leading European projects devoted to Disaster Resilient Societies and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, transforming complex risk analysis into practical, people-centred solutions for policymakers and communities. A qualified IMI mediator, she bridges divides and makes science accessible, relevant, and impactful.
A dynamic and engaging speaker, she has delivered talks, keynotes, and training sessions at numerous professional, educational, and Rotary events across local, European, and international stages, including the Rotary International Assembly 2026.
Interactor, Rotaractor, and now Rotarian, Rotary has been her home since 2005: from expanding membership to leading international conferences, she has held leadership roles in ERIC MDIO, Mediterranean Rotaract MDIO, and Rotaract Oceania MDIO. In 2021 she became a Positive Peace Activator, and in 2025 she founded Rotary Club Global ROOTS, proving that science and service together can inspire resilience without borders.
