H.R.H. Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands

Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands is a social entrepreneur, writer, strategist and dialogue facilitator. Her work revolves around social and ecological innovation and intergenerational dialogue on socio-economic issues. She is a passionate advocate of bringing together different organizations and individuals – including the “unexpected” experts – as a basis for developing systemic solutions to urgent issues.
Princess Laurentien is co-director of the number 5 foundation, an ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) foundation established by Prince Constantijn and herself in 2017. The foundation focuses on various social issues such as child poverty, language development in children aged 0-4, digital inequality, and sustainability. Under the auspices of the number 5 foundation, Stichting Gelijk)waardig Herstel was developed in collaboration with disadvantaged children, young people, parents, and personal injury experts: a recovery-oriented solution for the childcare allowance scandal (kinderopvangtoeslagaffaire). At the end of 2023, she co-founded and became co-director of Stichting Gelijk)waardig Herstel (SGH). In 2024, she stepped down as chair of SGH.
